A Legacy Built on Determination & Dairy Farming
Justin’s journey in the dairy industry began long before he was born. With deep family roots in dairy, he shares how his grandfather immigrated to the U.S. and helped revolutionize horse transportation by plane as well as bringing the first Friesian horses to America—a unique chapter in agricultural history. While Justin didn’t plan to return to the farm after college, the pull of family and dairy ultimately led him home.
Hoppy Cows Dairy: A Name with Meaning
One of the most engaging parts of the episode is the story behind the farm’s name. Inspired by Justin’s love for home brewing, hops, and experimenting with beer recipes, the name Hoppy Cows Dairy reflects both his farming lifestyle and his creative side.
